Holiday Fest .19

Portland's HolidayFest begins a week earlier December 7 with a morning event:  “Breakfast with Santa”  hosted by Portland Area Chamber of Commerce and held at Portland VFW Post from 9-11 a.m.   

150 Portland Holiday Historic Home Tour   1-4pm  Tickets $5 

The December 14 afternoon events in Downtown Portland begin at 4pm and feature 

• Window shop all afternoon and discover creative Christmas designs in the theme of 'Back to the Future'.  
• 4pm Snowball Drop at Kent & Bridge Sts.  Collect 'snowballs' and redeem them at participating organizations for prizes and discounts.  
• 4-5:30pm Sleigh Bell Horse-Drawn Wagon Rides - @ 205 Kent St
• 4p - 6:30pmOpen Houses,
• 5:35-5:55pm Dancing in the Streets with Opera Block Dance Academy 
• 4-6:30pm Children’s Activities
• 6 p.m. Light Parade with Santa & Mrs. Claus, along Kent St.   
• Followed by tree lighting and visits with Santa at Scout Park (aprox. 6:30pm)
• 7pm Christmas Gala Concert by Portland Community Orchestra inviting Ionia Community Band at the Portland Playhouse.
