Hello - it's only a few weeks away! As discussed in Sept., Shared early and throughout October, Portland will be promoting Small Business Saturday a week early this year, on NOVEMBER 21
With a dozen or more businesses participating in Small Business Saturday - your Portland Downtown team will jump on the bandwagon and promote you all. We'll host a check in / information site with refreshments that day at the new 2Rivers Marketplace, 154 Kent Street. We're here to support your efforts!
But we need to know... REGISTER HERE - we'll keep sharing ideas and start promoting you. The sooner you let us know, the more we can do with your business and offers! Gentle Reminder - Offers should be similar to Black Friday Sales, for example:
- a great item at an unbelievably low price to get them in your door (what stock do you need to clear?)
- Entry to a FANTASTIC prize for visiting your establishment.
- A great discount OR gift certificate to return on $$ purchased that day, maybe increasing by larger purchases
- 10% for $25
- 15% for $50
- 20% for $75
- 25% for $100

Get them in your door!
candle selection / scarves / a collectable
Small Holiday Bags(or one box/bowl/vase to draw folded slips from) with % off coupons from 10% to 50%
100 with 10% / 50 with 25% / 25 with 50% - or whatever works for you
Offers to give return gift certificates based on amount purchased - certificates good Jan 15 - March 31 (your down time - entice them back in)
Spend $100 - get $20 GC / Spend $50 get $10 GC / Spend $25 get $5
Hold a raffle - for every $20 spent, get an entry slip - raffle something or basket of 'things; worth more than $100
Do one of these, or come up with your own plan - do a combination of them. Then promote the heck out of it leading up to Small Biz Saturday!
